Full-Time Preschool Teacher with GREAT Benefits and $500 signing bonus!

We are hiring both ASSISTANT and CO-LEAD TEACHERS!

HOURS: 40 HOURS WEEKLY

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision, provide developmentally appropriate care and supervision to children enrolled at North Queen Anne Childcare (NQACC). Work with other teachers to implement age appropriate curriculum, establish and maintain supportive relationships with and perform related work as required.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understands that the main priority is the health and safety of each child
• Provides continuous supervision of the children and maintains ratio in accordance with licensing requirements
• Supports the coworkers in the various tasks of the day; for instance, setting up activities such as lunch, naps, games, etc.
• Follows all applicable licensing requirements and company policies
• Adheres to NQACC’s Behavior Management policy when interacting with the children
• Ensures that the classrooms are kept clean, orderly, and safe
• Engages in parent communication
• Maintains accurate attendance and enrollment records
• Monitors children for signs of child abuse and reports incidents of suspected abuse to their supervisor
• Maintains confidentiality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development,

Elementary Education, Psychology, or other equivalent degrees

• 2+ years of experience working with kids in a group care setting
• 30 hours of STARS training
• First Aid/CPR training within the last two years

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience working with kids
• A willingness to undergo a background check and obtain the required training certificates (30 hours STARS, First Aid/CPR)
