We are currently seeking an experienced Budget Analyst to support our Patuxent River customer. They will provide financial support to the In-service Systems and Fleet Support team. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Assist the government with managing and monitoring budgets and funding actions of field activities for the In-service Systems & Fleet Support IPT. Tracking of funding documents. Assisting in the creation and maintenance of IPT spend plans.
Reporting of field activities obligations and expenditures via the Naval Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) tool.
Collecting, compiling, organizing and interpreting management and financial information to assist the IPT with recommendations for funding realignments/adjustments in response to changes in programs and/or funds availability.
Responsible for preparing weekly, and monthly financial status reports. Participate as a member of and support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Assisting with development of appropriate acquisition documentation regarding financial interest items. Providing support with a variety of management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects, and data calls which could have significant impact on the organization and its business operations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: BS or BA degree in a business, management or an engineering management discipline. Allowable substitution: an AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience; or an additional six (6) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Must have 3-10 years’ experience conducting quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. Proficient in NERP, Appropriation Types and the Common Spend Plan Tool. Must be proficient in MS Office products.
