The Pre-Med Gap Year Intern – Northwestern University Sports Medicine Clinic Assistant offers a valuable one-year opportunity for a student to become immersed in the collegiate sports medicine healthcare environment through clinical support work, research, and educational seminars. The Gap Year Intern will work closely with the NU Athletics Sports Medicine care team to provide clinic assistance, scribing and other care-related athlete support while conducting research and participating in faculty-led lecture series. This opportunity allows the Pre-Med Gap Year intern to develop a working knowledge of operations in a complex academic medical center, participate in enrichment activities and create a professional network with students, clinical and administrative staff, leadership, and health care providers with the goal of preparation for medical school.
