Shipp Distribution is the exclusive distributor of Nothing Bundt Cakes. Shipp provides bakeries with cake mix and other ingredients, packaging, and decorations. Distribution centers in Plano, TX and Las Vegas, NV service almost 400 bakeries across the country.Position Summary: The Warehouse Manager reports directly to the Director of Distribution Operations & Fulfillment and is responsible for warehousing and distribution activities. This includes responsibility for 40,000 sq. ft of warehousing space, inbound & outbound trucking operations, inventory accuracy, warehouse management system, expedite shipments, and transportation coordination.This key role will work closely with the Director of Distribution Operations & Fulfillment to achieve safety objectives, setting Key Performance Indicators, developing and recruiting warehouse personnel, budget/financial management, long-term planning, and implementing continuous improvement projects to improve overall efficiency. As a business partner, this position will work cross functionally with the Customer Excellence, Purchasing and other support team functions to achieve overall Operational Excellence.Accountability/Duties:
Direct daily operations including workflow scheduling, monitoring of productivity and quality, process troubleshooting and all other activities to ensure inventory accuracy on all outbound orders.
Responsible for establishing a culture of safety throughout the warehouse, maintaining a safe and secure work environment with a high level of safety awareness among team members.
Execute and drive WMS systems and process improvement with warehouse team
Manages compliance of distribution processes to company quality policies and food safety standards.
Ensure inventory is accurate and organized by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system. Works closely with Purchasing team to ensure adequate inventory levels are achieved.
Focus on continuous improvements and makes recommendations to Director on policies, procedures and process flows to improve the effectiveness of distribution center’s functions resulting in greater efficiencies.
Troubleshoots all receiving and shipping complaints to find the root cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence.
Interfaces and collaborates with cross-functional teams to assist and solve operational issues.

Education/Certification and Work Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2-5 years Warehouse Management Required
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred
(Verbal and written English mandatory) Bilingual a plus
Forklift Certification preferred
Must be authorized to work in the United States
