Job Summary
We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team! 13-week travel contract Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00) in the New Brunswick area. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be performing high-quality PET/CT exams and nuclear medicine on patients with a variety of needs, administering proper radionuclides in a safe manner, and monitoring the patient's well-being during the entire exam, ensuring they are both comfortable and safe. You will also answer questions from patients about the procedure and tests, and work closely with the rest of the team and the patient’s physician to get the required results. The ideal candidate has the necessary licenses for the position, excellent communication skills, and a desire to help people.
ASAP starts… 7:30a-4p… 6-8 cases per day… 2 yrs exp… First-timers accepted… NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS… No call… BLOCK SCHED MON-FRI… Locals accepted… ARRT, BLS, and NJ license required… Exp in Adult OP clinics and nuclear cardiology, GE, gastric emptying, bone scans, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation, captopril, myocardial scans, and SPECT (Bone, Thyroid, and Cardiac imaging)… Epic charting
Responsibilities
Perform PET/CT exams on incoming patients, and answer their questions
Ensure all equipment is in working order, and alert management if there are issues
Maintain the appropriate stock of supplies
Administer radionuclides to patients
Monitor the patient throughout the entire procedure to ensure they are both comfortable and safe
Qualifications
Required license by the state
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate personality, with a desire to help others
Good organizational skills
Familiarity with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite
