Responsibilities:

Intrepid Global Solutions is seeking a qualified Full-Time Fitness Professional to develop and conduct physical fitness programs for government employees in the Washington Metro Area (WMA). Trainers will provide individual consultations, programming, and wellness instruction to a diverse population at various customer locations in Northern Virginia. • Oversee day to day operations of the fitness center
• Perform fitness assessments, determine exercise prescriptions, and design workout programs for employees including high risk clientele
• Provide one on one consulting, training, and motivation
• Design & implement incentives, health promotions, and other specialty programs

Minimum Qualifications for Certified Fitness Instructor:

• A Bachelor’s degree in an exercise/fitness related field
• 1-3 years of professional experience in a fitness environment
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications or ability to obtain certifications upon hire
• Certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Academy of Sports medicine (NASM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or another equivalent personal training certification from a nationally recognized credentialing authority.
• TS/SCI Security Clearance with lifestyle polygraph or ability to obtain after hire

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) and the ability to make effective public presentations required
• Must be able to work in excess of 40 hours per week, provide 24-hour on-call coverage on rotation and to respond to emergency calls as necessary
• Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office, required
• Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required
