    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:

    The Corporate Compliance Officer-Investigations and Data Analytics works with the Executive Director, Compliance Operations in providing investigative and data analytic support to the Legal/Compliance team. In particular, the Corporate Compliance Officer-Investigations and Data Analytics is tasked with investigating concern reports & privacy incidents, developing/executing data analysis reports and protocols for both proactive and reactive internal audits, and communicating results to appropriate parties. Duties also include, revision of policies and procedures as needed, and assistance with monitoring, internal auditing, and reporting on the effectiveness of Numotion’s compliance program.  This Corporate Compliance Officer will provide timely advice to Numotion’s managers and other staff as needed.

    Position will be based out of Nashville, TN but may be Remote for the right candidate

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Develops, documents and executes formal investigative plans in response to compliance concern reports, privacy concerns or incidents, and during the course of internal audits, including remedies and post resolution testing of remedies as applicable.
    • Develops and executes comprehensive data analyses to proactively identify risks across the various business units ensuring areas and topics of risks are appropriately communicated within the Legal/Compliance team and among appropriate business managers.
    • Assists in the development of risk mitigation, corrective action, and preventative action plans in response to concern report and internal audit findings.
    • Monitors implementation and status of business’s preventative and corrective action plans in response to identified compliance issues.
    • Partners with members of Numotion’s Business Intelligence Team to establish, foster and maintain rapport and a working relationship to build credibility and encourage collaboration on developing/evaluating analyses to mitigate areas of risks, identifying new analytic tools/reports, and documenting comprehensive analytic strategies that foster compliance and mitigate risks.
    • Establish, foster, and maintain rapport and working relationship with business managers to build credibility and encourage the proactive use of compliance team.
    • Respond to compliance and audit inquiries from field offices, area managers, VPs, executive team and others, keeping Executive Director, Compliance Operations or AGC (as appropriate) informed of all inquiries of significance.
    • Receive, review, and notify Executive Director, Compliance Operations or AGC of all complaints or audits that allege misconduct or fraudulent activity.
    • Conduct internal audits, including billing & coding and audits of performance against Numotion policies and procedures.
    • Regular reports to Executive Director, Compliance Operations and company management on investigative outcomes, preventative actions, corrective actions, and general compliance performance of business.
    • Perform special assignments as needed.
    • Support and develop collaborative working relationships within the department.

     

    Required Skills

     

     

    REQUIRED

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 5+ years corporate healthcare compliance experience including comprehensive investigations and data analysis
    • Bilingual a plus
    • Proficient with Microsoft office products including Microsoft Access
    • Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills required.
    • Willingness to travel – estimated travel: 25% of employee’s work time.

    PREFERRED:

    • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
    • 5+ years of experience conducting investigations and data analysis related to Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care environments
    • HCAA/CCB or accredited university compliance/ethics program certification
