Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, contributing to their overall health and well-being. The LPN/RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing diagnostic tests. Ensure the comfort and safety of patients at all times.
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients by collecting health histories and physical examination data. Identify patients’ needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective patient care. Participate in team rounds and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Document observations, interventions, and patient responses timely and correctly.
- Education: Provide health education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and health maintenance. Promote health awareness and preventive care.
- Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care or interventions as needed. Participate in emergency response drills and continuing education.
- Compliance: Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations set forth by the healthcare facility, state regulations, and professional organizations. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- For LPN: Completion of an accredited LPN program and a valid LPN license in New Jersey.
- For RN: Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and a valid RN license in New Jersey.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred. Experience in [specific area, e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics, critical care, catheterization] is a plus.
- Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification. Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may be required based on the department.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills.
- Personal Attributes: Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.
