About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiology and Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including arrhythmias, heart failure, and valvular disease. You will work collaboratively with a team of experienced cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and lifestyle modifications.
Perform procedures such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress tests, and echocardiograms.
Assist with electrophysiology procedures, including ablation and pacemaker/defibrillator implantations.
Educate patients and their families about heart health, disease management, and treatment options.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
Manage acute cardiac events and emergencies.
Clinical Operations:
Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Stay current with the latest advancements in cardiology and electrophysiology.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenses.
Board certification as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner.
Strong clinical skills and experience in cardiology and electrophysiology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
