Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team and work out of our Louisville office. The State of Kentucky has approved medical marijuana as a form of treatment as well as symptom management for patients who suffer from one of the qualifying conditions. Patients looking to qualify need to be evaluated in-person by a Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in the State of Kentucky. We believe that medical marijuana has significant potential to improve the quality of life for thousands of patients across the state of Kentucky and we are looking for a compassionate, dedicated NP to join our team!
Duties
Conduct an in-person physical evaluation of patients and discuss medical history.
Verify that patients suffer from a qualifying condition.
Provide a recommended treatment plan for qualifying patients.
Inform patients of the risks associated with medical cannabis use.
Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited program.
Must be licensed in the State of Kentucky
Must hold a valid DEA license
Must have an APRN License
Must be registered to use any PDMP currently in use in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
