    C.O.R.E. Medical Clinic, Inc. is a CARF-Accredited Healthcare Facility Treating Opioid Addiction with Methadone and Buprenorphine searching for a Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to fill the position of a part time Allied Health Professional. 2-3 days a week, must be willing to work at least Wednesday and Friday 6am-2:30pm. This position would provide coverage at our Midtown Sacramento location on Wednesday's and our West Sacramento office on Friday's. Competitive pay and benefits (if working over 20 hours a week). No On-Call or weekend hours.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Identifies the health status of patients by taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and evaluating patients for program eligibility, including documenting opioid withdrawal symptoms.

    Plans and implements a course of medical treatment including ordering medications within standardized procedures.

    Counsels and instructs patients and families regarding health-related matters.

    Serves as clinical consultant to medical, nursing and counseling staff.

    Determines which cases to refer to Physician for further diagnosis.

    Provides and/or coordinates health care by referral with follow-up for concurrent medical problems that are not related to addiction.

    Under medical direction or within established protocols, orders and interprets indicated laboratory tests.

    Maintains records in our EHR and prepares reports as needed.

    Meets and educates pregnant patients.

    Prescribes buprenorphine and provides medication management for these patients.

    Performs related work as required.

    Completes Annual physical examinations on patients.
