Qualifications
- Education: BSN required; MSN or related advanced degree preferred.
- Licensure: Active Indiana RN license; BLS/ACLS certification.
- Experience: 3+ years of nursing experience, including 2+ years in supervisory/leadership roles; hospital or public health background preferred.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in EHR systems, care plan development, infection control, and emergency response protocols.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily nursing operations, including patient care assignments, workflow coordination, and staff performance.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clinical teams.
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document care accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
- Conduct routine safety rounds to ensure patient/staff security and adherence to infection control standards.
- Mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff to maintain high clinical and professional standards.
- Respond to emergencies, de-escalate crises, and provide direct care during critical situations.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
