Brevard Nursing Academy is searching for licensed nurses with a desire to utilize their knowledge, skills, and experience in the classroom. This role is for someone looking to leave the bedside and the hectic schedule of working in a clinical setting for a more relaxed working environment. This rewarding position is for a nurse who wants to share their knowledge and experience with the next generation of Licensed Practical Nurses.
Interested persons must have a clear and active Florida RN license.
A minimum of three years of professional or practical clinical nursing experience. Must complete a course in teaching adults, or have at least one year of experience in teaching adults or have at least one year of experience in supervising nursing students. Skilled Nursing Facility experience is welcomed.
A Practical Nursing Instructor would be responsible for teaching nursing students in a classroom and clinical setting. The instructor would review plans, evaluate student performance, and provide feedback on their progress. They would also work with other faculty members to ensure that the nursing program meets CIE standards and prepares students for licensure exams. The instructor would need to have a current nursing license, as well as relevant teaching experience and knowledge of nursing theory and clinical practice. Strong communication and organizational skills are also essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time/Adjunct
Pay: $25.00 - $29.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 2:30pm.
