OBGYN Physician opportunity in Woodland, CA
Wonderful opportunity to join an established well-respected multispecialty group of 150+ clinicians (roughly 100 physicians and 50 APPs/other professionals) that has been caring for its residents for over 100 years. Physician owned and operated. Incoming physicians will be a pre-shareholder for the first 2 years, then they are invited to become shareholders. The shareholder contract is evergreen. Each shareholder owns 1 share; everyone is equal. Only an hour to Napa and a two-hour drive to the Lake Tahoe area takes you to the highest concentration of ski resorts in the country, with record-breaking annual snowfall and views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
About the Position:
- The OBGYN Team is currently comprised of 2 physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers.
- We are planning to add 3 physicians to the practice
- Call: 1:5 (utilizing OBGYN locums until fully staffed)
- Laparoscopy, minimally invasive, hysterectomy skills required
- Willing to prescribe contraception
- Able to perform tubal ligation and insert IUDs
- Performing slings for mid urethral incontinence (TVT/ TOT) a plus
- Preferably ultrasound viability scan experience (not anatomy scan)
- 50% Obstetrics / 50% Gynecology
- Average 20-25 patients per day
- High Risk pregnancies, have access to MFM in Sacramento
- High Risk are transferred to a higher acuity center at 35 weeks.
- Oncology and Uro-gynecology are referred out
- Cerner EMR
- APPs take second call for C-Sections, but do not assist with GYN surgeries.
- Patient population: lots of diversity- from migrant workers to college professors
- Additional language skills a plus: Spanish, Punjabi, Farsi, Mandarin
- Patients admitted to Woodland Memorial Hospital
- Group has a Hospitalist team who manage inpatient care for regular admissions
