    **Reports to the Parts Manager
    ** Job Summary:

    The OEM Parts Advisor will interact with multiple departments daily to drive accountability and accuracy with status updates, diligent research, and proactive logistics tracking. This position acts as a liaison between Parts and Service departments, ensuring each technician receives the proper parts needed for success, quickly and accurately.

    Key Responsibilities:

    The primary responsibility of the OEM Parts Advisor and receiving specialist will be to ensure technicians receive parts for work orders as quickly as possible along with following policy and procedures outlined in the Receiving Specialist portion of this document.

    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and own the Parts to Technician processes from start to finish.
    • Maintain open and consistent communication between our vendors and manufacturers and our Parts and Service departments on the order status and estimated arrival of warranty, internal, and external customer work orders parts and supplies.
    • Provide parts price and availability information to Service Advisors and management in a timely fashion.
    • Prepare parts estimates to include all the necessary parts to perform jobs for work orders internally and for external customers.
    • Act creatively to source parts from established or new vendors, and outside-the-box sources in order to optimize speed and efficiency of parts flow through the shop, and further the goals of the Parts Department relative to efficiency, accuracy, and margins.
    • Dispatch parts to Technicians.
    • Attend all required meetings, training courses, and workshops.
    • Other Duties as assigned

    Key Responsibilities Receiving Specialist:

    • Inspect all parts received within 48 business hours for damage and accuracy.
    • Receive all parts into dealer management software accurately within 48 hours.
    • Input received parts into work orders.
    • Designate stocking location for all work order and customer special order parts.
    • Communicate with retail customers on the arrival of ordered parts.
    • Record and appropriately apply freight expenses to work orders, customer orders and outgoing shipments as directed by the parts manager.
    • Be aware of vendors coming in and out of the shop and guide them appropriately, including all shipping companies.
    • Email communications with vendors for discrepancies and damages should include as recipients the parts manager and any other appropriate team member.
    • Being on time and ready to work, receiving schedule can vary on circumstance.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Excellent literacy/proofreading skills to ensure the accuracy of information provided for each customer deal.
    • Acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
    • Desire to hold and excel in a pivotal role on a multifaceted team.
    • Knowledge of RV parts and parts sourcing will be strongly advantageous.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
