Position Title – Demographical Specialist
Position Goals
This is the job description for the Demographical Specialist position for Specialty Healthcare Billing and Consulting (SHBC) and additionally provides criteria for the evaluation of the position. The Demographical Specialist position plays a critical part in the medical billing process and for the financial cycle of SHBC. Under the supervision of the Director of Billing and Demographics, the Demographical Specialist is responsible for verifying healthcare coverage, maintaining a positive relationship with patients and ensuring the patient has a positive experience with the clients we support. The Demographical Specialist will meet or exceed the daily and monthly productivity and performance goals set forth by the Director of Billing and Demographics. Additionally, the Demographical Specialist will have excellent customer service skills and can communicate effectively both written and verbally.

The requirements for employment as the Demographical Specialist for Specialty Healthcare Billing & Consulting are:
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED – required
Some College – preferred
2 years of experience in a high-paced, medical billing environment – minimum
1 year of experience with working in a medical environment – desired
