**OPENROADS & OPENBRIDGE DESIGNER SOFTWARE**
***THIS ROLE WILL SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT WITH THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A CADD WORKSPACE, UTILIZING BENTLEY SOFTWARE OPENROADS AND OPENBRIDGE DESIGNER.***
Scope of the project: this role will support the department with the development and implementation of a CADD workspace, utilizing Bentley software openroads and openbridge designer. Work will include on-site and remote support services to maintain, troubleshoot and develop CADD workspaces. This includes working with both consultant and scdot personnel to accommodate all disciplines for transportation projects including; planning, surveys, traffic, roadway, hydro, Geotech, structures, program management, construction and maintenance.
DAILY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
workspace development and maintenance:
• develop and configure CADD workspace standards, templates and libraries for openroads and openbridge.
• regularly update and maintain CADD standards, ensuring consistency and compliance standards, specifications, guidelines, and special projects.
• assist with documentation of workspace development to secure successful project perpetuity.
• produce and present technical presentations to designers, upper management, and industry peers.
Technical support:
• provide one on one and small group training and provide daily technical support to end-users, addressing any issues related to CADD tools and workflows.
• troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems, ensuring minimal disruption to project work.
• assist with the implementation of new software in conjunction with CADD workspaces.
Coordination with it and vendors:
• collaborate with it to ensure proper installation, configuration, and licensing of CADD software.
• work with software vendors for technical support and to stay updated on new releases and updates.
Documentation:
• collaborate with individual departments to ensure workflow procedures are documented and incorporated into workspaces
• update technical and training documentation and produce videos for plan production processes.
Project support:
• assist project teams with setting up and managing project-specific CADD environments.
• ensure that project deliverables meet client requirements and company standards.
Coordination and communication:
• serve as the primary point of contact for all CADD-related inquiries and issues.
• facilitate communication between design teams, project managers, and other stakeholders regarding CADD-related matters.
