    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. The OR RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures while ensuring a safe and sterile environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Patient Care:
    - Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery, including obtaining consent and educating patients and families about the surgical procedure.
    - Monitor patients’ vital signs and medical history, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.

    - Surgical Support:
    - Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare the operating room, including setting up surgical instruments and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.
    - Assist the surgeon during the procedure by providing instruments and managing surgical drapes while maintaining aseptic technique.

    - Infection Control:
    - Uphold strict infection control protocols and utilize appropriate sterilization techniques to maintain a sterile field and prevent surgical site infections.

    - Documentation:
    - Accurately document patient information, intraoperative outcomes, and any complications or concerns during the surgical procedure.

    - Postoperative Care:
    - Provide postoperative care to patients as they awaken from anesthesia, monitoring for any adverse reactions and ensuring comfort before transferring them to recovery.

    - Team Collaboration:
    - Communicate effectively with surgical team members, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff, to ensure optimal patient care and workflow.
    - Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on surgical techniques and protocols.

    - Continuous Education:
    - Stay informed about advancements in surgical nursing practice and participate in continuing education opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    - Education:
    - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with significant OR experience.

    - Licensure:
    - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].

    - Certifications:
    - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred.
