    Position Type: Full-time, Hybrid (at least 2 days per week in the NYC office.)

    Deadline: Applications will be reviewed, and interviews scheduled, on a rolling basis.

    Summary: The Development and Fundraising Associate will support the Development and Fundraising Manager. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining a donor database, analyzing donor data, donor and gift management, researching potential funding opportunities, and preparing prospect research reports.

    Key Responsibilities

    Regularly manage donor database and data analytics for all donor-related reports.

    Gift processing, data entry, donor acknowledgments, weekly tax receipts, and donor-related mail services.

    Donor management; responding to all giving emails and donor calls.

    Working with the Communications department to implement email campaigns through Kindful.

    Providing data and working closely with the Direct Mail and Digital Marketing service company.

    Work closely with the office manager to ensure a streamlined process of gift processing according to financial protocols.

    Pulling reports for Online Donation Platforms and grants received.

    Monitor crowd-sourced fundraising portals as necessary.

    Updating MailChimp mailing lists.

    Assist the Development & Fundraising Manager with the following duties:

    Developing Reports for the Board and management (donor data reports and monthly board reporting)

    Participate in meetings related to development activities.

    Updating organizational information on online platforms (Charity Navigator, GuideStar, Global Giving, Just Giving, U.S. Government, etc.)

    Organizing and participating in fundraising events.

    Assist in researching fundraising opportunities and developing concept notes/Letters of Intent (LOIs) - time permitting.

    Manage document retention for audit compliance.

    Additional tasks as assigned.

    Skills and Experience

    Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or nonprofit management

    At least two years of fundraising and/or development experience

    Demonstrated professional demeanor: verbally, via email, and letter writing

    Proficiency with donor database management software

    Strong communication and networking skills

    Excellent organizational and time-management skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong computer and internet skills
