Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at The Orthopedic pain Institute. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing support to healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Obtain and record patient medical history and vital signs
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking vitals and obtaining blood samples
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record systems
- Assist with patient education and provide information on treatment plans and medication instructions
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
