THE MISSIONARY ASSOCIATION OF MARY IMMACULATE USA, A DIVISION OF OBLATE SERVICE CORPORATION, IS SEEKING APPLICANTS FORSYSTEMSNETWORK ADMINISTRATOR IN THE IT DEPARTMENT. THE MAMIUSA IS A NONPROFIT MISSION DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING OFFICE, LOCATED IN BELLEVILLE, ILLINOIS AND SAN ANTONIO, TX.
POSITION: SYSTEMS-NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
POSITION STATUS: Full-time; Exempt.
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
POSITION SUMMARY: The Systems Administrator assists in installing, maintaining, and securing all system platforms and networks for the MAMIUSA. This role assists with network, systems administration, and helpdesk support, including administration support for web server deployments and website hosting. Competence in the following areas is required: servers, workstations, network infrastructure, data storage, cloud services, and network applications. Installs hardware and software and maintains network operations in a Microsoft (MS) Windows environment, including cabling, LAN/WAN, VoIP, VLANs, and wireless network, and door access control. Provides Help Desk support responding to incidents in a timely fashion. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server hardware and SAN’s. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PC’s, printers, and software applications. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MS 365 applications\AD Azure. Assist in system security management and user account management in multiple system platforms. Assist in the administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of multiple organizational networks including both private business networks and internal public networks. Assist with performance system monitoring and network issue resolution. Assist in the implementation, troubleshooting, and support of Meraki firewalls, VPN, and wireless networks. Assist Web Coordinator to administer, troubleshoot, and secure web system servers and web hosting environments. Helps maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation for networks, systems installations, and systems operation. Helps maintain an asset inventory of all network and systems hardware, software licenses, and application licenses. Assist with system back-ups and disaster recovery procedures. Responsible for staying current with technology by working towards certification through Internet classes, seminars, or attending college during or after work. WORK HOURS: Full-time, M-F. Ability to be on call as needed.
EDUCATION/SKILLS: Associates Degree in related field from an accredited institution required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution, preferred. 2+ years minimum experience in networking/infrastructure technologies and systems support. Must be effective at interfacing extensively with end-users, peers, vendors, and other Information Technology personnel to resolve technical issues and questions. Must be able to effectively diagnose and resolve system hardware, software, and network issues. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have an aptitude for research and quickly learn recent technologies to support all aspects of the IT department and supported organizations. Must have strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks as organizational needs change effectively or issues arise. Must be a self-starter and be able to work alone or as part of a team. Highly proficient in desktop IT technologies (MS Windows 10, 11, Mac OS X, Office 365, Adobe, etc.) A solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Internet fundamentals. Understanding of MS Windows registry, group policies, event logs, application log files, and other configuration/information files. Experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, and administration. Experience with MS Active Directory\Azure management and troubleshooting. Experience administering MS 365 administrator portal. A broad understanding of storage and virtualization technologies Experience with virtualization with MS Hyper-V. Experience administering firewalls. (PPTP, L2TP, Meraki firewall, and wireless, etc.). Experience with anti-virus and anti-spam applications. A good understanding of network, system, and web hosting security best practices. Experience with Zoom, MS Teams, SharePoint, and MS Reporting Services is a plus. Experience with IIS administration is a plus.
