OccuHealth Technician CCMA Job Summary: Responsible for providing general, clinical and professional services as directed by the Occupational Clinic Manager and the Medical Director. The OH CCMA also charged with phone and email communications with local HR departments regarding services provided. We offer on the job training and seminars for employees who would like to further their career and obtain their CCMA. After a year in the position, and completion of seminars & training, Evergreen Family Medical will pay for employees to take the CCMA exam and become certified medical assistants. Other offered training and certifications include Occupational Hearing Conservationist (CAOHC), DOT Breath Alcohol Technician and DOT Collection Certifications.
OccuHealth Technician CCMA Responsibilities and Duties:
• Proficient point-of-care testing • Vaccine & PPD Administration • Phlebotomy for employment Titer testing • Monitoring Physical Agility Tests including Physical Capacity Exams • Assisting in the completion of FMCSA Medical Examiner Examinations • Facilitating physical examinations in assistance of contracted employer’s workplace safety programs • Specimen collection for the purpose of drug free workplace programs • Efficient reporting of all services provided to local HR departments in a timely manner • Managing patient schedules including scheduling, confirming and rescheduling appointments • Cross training of clinical skills to assist in the Urgent Care clinical setting • Maintaining a positive working relationship with local HR departments
Qualifications and Skills:
• High School Diploma or equivalent • Understanding of Federal workplace guidelines for testing • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills. Physical requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms. • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
