Location: Washington DC-Capital Hill, or National Harbor
Compensation: $38-$47 hour based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, 30+ hours per week
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility / Rehabilitation Center
Reports To: Director of Rehabilitation
Position Summary/Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive therapy services to assist patients in regaining functional independence. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patients and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Implementing therapy interventions to improve daily living skills and functional mobility.
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Supervising therapy assistants and students as required by licensure.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Educating patients and families on rehabilitation goals and treatment plans.
- Participating in facility meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or recognized foreign equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
- Current and valid OT license/certification.
- Experience working with adult/geriatric populations.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as patient transfers, equipment handling, and extended periods of standing/walking.
