Occupational Therapist (Full-Time) – Manhattan, NY

We are expanding and seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to provide home-based OT services in Manhattan. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with patients to develop, recover, and maintain essential daily living and occupational skills. Our Occupational Therapists play a crucial role in helping individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life through personalized therapy plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients in developing, recovering, and maintaining essential daily living and work skills.

• Help improve motor function, coordination, and cognitive abilities through targeted therapy.

• Support patients in performing daily activities, including dressing, cooking, and eating.

• Implement physical exercises to enhance strength, flexibility, and dexterity.

• Train patients with permanent disabilities on the use of adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs, orthotics, and assistive devices.

• Assess home environments for potential hazards and recommend adaptive modifications to promote safety and independence.

• Educate family members and caregivers on effective care techniques.

• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and maintain detailed clinical reports.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

• Current Occupational Therapy license in New York State (in good standing).

• Minimum of one (1) year of OT experience (home health experience preferred).

• Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and care teams.

• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Manhattan for patient visits.

Compensation & Schedule:

• Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year (DOE)
