We are looking for a talented Occupational Therapist for the school year.
We are hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to support 4 different school sites with a caselaod of approximately 50 students.
Rate Range: $44.00-$52.00 per hour
Responsibilities would include:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the learning environment.
- Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve student accessibility.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois OT Licensure (issued by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation - IDFPR).
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles).
- NBCOT Certification preferred.
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
