About Survivor Healthcare
Survivor Healthcare is an innovative virtual telehealth clinic that supports cancer survivors from diagnosis through long-term survivorship. We work as a multidisciplinary team to provide whole-patient care, with a demonstrated ability to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for our patients. We work across several sub-specialties, including oncology, occupational therapy, mental health, and nutrition.
About You
We are seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) who is passionate about working with cancer survivors to achieve their health goals. We work in a continuously evolving virtual environment. The right candidate must be adaptable, self-sufficient, and committed to providing compassionate, whole-patient care.
Responsibilities
Requirements
Proven record of matching patient needs to home treatment plans and proven record of implementing these plans safely and effectively
Strong experience administering a wide range of physical therapy techniques via telemedicine
Prior experience in oncology or palliative care
Experience assisting and directing treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants
Experience with recommending assistive equipment to patients and outpatient or home health follow-up programs
Experience with a wide range of patient age groups and injuries
Knowledge of Occupational Therapy and an understanding of when these techniques can benefit patients
A strong sense of empathy and the ability to motivate patients
Minimum 2 years of experience providing occupational therapy to patients and familiarity with telemedicine-based practice
Current licensure to practice as an OT
Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and patient confidentiality
