JOB DESCRIPTION:

DUTIES:

The Commercial Manager/ Ship Broker is responsible for growing a book of business, tracing global trades data of dry bulk and wet commodities, matching available vessels with active cargo needs, negotiating successful vessel contracts, and providing world-class customer service under the Ocean Freight Exchange brand.

QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must have 5-20+ years Ship Broker experience serving charterers and ship owners in Dry Bulk and/or Liquid/Tanker market
• A current book of business is required. $500K is preferred
• Experience at a leading ship brokerage is a major plus!  e.g. Clarksons, Howe Robinson, SSY, Ifchor, Velian, Lighthouse, Mavega, Braemar, EA Gibson, Barry Rogliano Salles, Arrow Shipbroking, ICAP, Maersk brokers, McQuilling, Poten, Affinity, etc.
