    The Ocean Import Coordinator is responsible for managing ocean import shipments from initiation to completion. This role involves compliance with regulatory guidelines, customer communication, and efficient coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of goods.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage day-to-day ocean import shipments, including organizing and maintaining documentation.

    Pre-alert agents and shippers regarding shipment details and updates.

    Follow up with steamship lines and maintain daily reports for pending shipments.

    Ensure all required documents are received and processed in compliance with regulations.

    Send final documents to relevant parties as needed.

    Handle filing of relevant shipment documentation.

    Arrange pick-ups, deliveries, and container loading as required.

    Track cargo from origin to destination and provide timely updates to customers.

    Deliver excellent customer service with effective communication and follow-up.

    Maintain strong relationships with customers and address inquiries or issues promptly.

    Set up billing for shipments and handle payables accurately.

    Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.

    Commitment to providing excellent customer service, including strong communication and follow-up skills.

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

    Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a practical approach to handling challenges.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum high school diploma or GED.

    2-3 years of experience in international freight forwarding logistics operations.

    2-3 years of customer service experience.

    Familiarity with CargoWise software is a plus.
