Job Description

Looking for curious and experimental software enthusiast to bring innovative technologies into Ocean Spray to drive meaningful business outcomes. The candidate should be a builder by heart. This is a hands-on technical role which requires one to be able to build working software from scratch.

WHAT YOU WILL DO & WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

You will partner with other software engineers within tech innovation team to build prototypes to demonstrate the power of API economy. You will get an opportunity to learn API development, microservices design, cloud platform and various database technologies.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in any software engineering degrees (for example, MS in Computer Science)
• Exposure to development of websites, mobile apps, middleware APIs. Skilled in emerging technologies/languages such as NodeJS, Net Core, Java, Go, Python, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB to name a few
• Agile software development methodologies
• Ability to rapidly prototype software products. Past hackathon participation is of interest to us
• Understanding of cyber security, especially around implications of using plug-n-play SaaS products
• Skilled in one of the leading cloud providers: Azure, AWS or GCP

Additional Information

DURATION & LOCATION:

• Position will start on June 1, 2020 and will run through December
• Summer office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:45pm, Friday 8:00am-12:30pm; Regular office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm; flexibility is required for project travel and experimental test runs
• Position is located at our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA (about 45 minutes South of Boston – Exit 6 off of Rte. 495)
