    At Blue Sky Farms, we are hiring an office administrator to join our diverse, and dynamic team. We are a locally run family farm and a fresh produce distribution company who is dedicated to sustainable and ethical agricultural activities involved in growing, packing, marketing and distribution of fruits and vegetables to the finest restaurants in the greater triangle since 1994. The packing facility, green houses, and storage building are located thirty minutes from downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.

    Your role will involve managing day-to-day office operations, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring the office runs smoothly. We’re looking for someone with exceptional organizational and communication abilities, along with a dedication to fostering a positive and efficient work environment.

    Office Administrator responsibilities

    Oversee the daily functioning of the office, ensuring that administrative process run smoothly, and provide support to management, staff and our customers.

    Manage communication channels, such as phone calls and emails.

    Taking order from customers with accuracy.

    Maintain filing systems and ensure the proper retention, protection, and storage of records.

    Manage data entry and other record-keeping tasks.

    Manage daily accounts receivable by way of ACH, checks, and credit card payments. Ensuring terms with customers base, and collection.

    Manage accounts payables and set weekly budget with the owner, balance vendor accounts, process payments by way of check and or credit card.

    Process bi-weekly payroll thru ADP.

    Assist with food safety protocol and monitor log books.

    Provide regular office operations reports to management and identify areas for improvement.

    Oversee office supplies to ensure resources are available when needed.

    Establish and implement office policies and procedures to maintain order and efficiency.

    Review and update office policies as necessary to reflect changing needs.

    Support the recruitment, on boarding, and training of new employees.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Two to three years management experience in an office setting.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Software and phone systems.

    QuickBooks proficient.

    Keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Completes tasks on time and can properly prioritize work.

    Proficiency in using office software and database management.

    Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

    Excellent attention to detail.

    Provides excellent customer service.

    Work hours 10:00 am to 4:30 or until drivers are back to base

    Pay and Benefit

    Competitive salary based on experience

    401 matching after 3 months of full-time employment

    1 week PTO after 1 full year of employment and other holidays time of.

    Pay rate: range base on experience $21-$23 per hr
