    Job Description

    We are looking for an entry level Part-Time Office Assistant who is able to work well independently and in a team to work in our school front office in greeting parents, assisting with student and staff needs and other general receptionist duties. We are looking for an individual who is looking to grow in their administrative skills, has great customer service, is dependable and can provide a professional and positive environment for our students and staff at the Multicultural Learning Center (MLC) Middle School Campus.

    Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 depending on experience

    Part-Time: Two days a week from 7:30am-4:30pm

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • General front office duties including greeting the public and answering phones

    • Manage student enrollment and track attendance

    • Respond to parent requests

    • Support students with health needs

    • Maintain school database and student cumulative records

    • Process parent volunteer applications

    • Generate correspondence and process mail and deliveries

    • Provide support and assistance to the Middle School administrators

    • General support to all faculty and staff

    • Other duties as assigned

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Fluency in English and Spanish
    • Proficiency with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software
    • Attention to detail
    • A pleasant and friendly demeanor, and a desire to serve children
    • An AA or BA from a post-secondary business school or high school diploma with 3-5 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in a public school, is desired.
