Details and Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Customer Relations
Own the customer journey from first contact through product completion and beyond.
Efficiently schedule appointments for our Design Associates.
Assist in developing, managing, and implementing local marketing initiatives.
Support and participate in home shows and events (some evenings and weekends may be required).
Maintain an organized and inviting office space. You are the face of our company.
Office/Showroom Management
Greet and assist customers as they enter the showroom, providing them with information about products and services.
Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing to create a welcoming environment.
Regularly update product displays and ensure that all product information is accurate and up-to-date.
Maintaining files, records, and important documents.
Updating databases and creating regular reports for management.
Assist in maintaining warehouse and occasional shipments
Financials
Update QuickBooks with all job-related items as they occur.
Generate job costing reports for all completed installations.
Track, prepare, and manage timely payment of business-related expenses.
Purchase flooring project materials and pay supplier invoices
Production
Meet with sales staff to review recent sales and review customer expectations and product orders.
Accurately order all necessary products for jobs and follow up on delivery.
Coordinate schedules between customers and installers for efficient job scheduling.
Confirm scope of work and compensation with installers prior to start of job.
Keep customers informed about ongoing installation details and job progress.
Update the customer on details of installation by keeping them informed of start date/time and clarifying work that will be done.
Complete job costing reports after an installation is complete.
Continuous Improvement
Strong desire and work ethic to meet aggressive goals that drive the business forward
Seek improvement through ongoing training both internally and externally
Make decisions and act in alignment with Floor Coverings International's core values and mission.
Attend weekly meetings with the Owner to review progress to goals as well as solve challenges related to your areas of ownership.
Qualifications:
Be a customer advocate.
Desire to be part of a team that provides exceptional service while taking care of each other.
1-3 years of experience is preferred. Experience in Home Improvement is a big plus.
Strong communication skills, over the phone and in-person.
Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking abilities.
Experience in bookkeeping using QuickBooks is preferred.
Capable of working independently without constant supervision.
Experience in the flooring industry preferred.
