    Job Description

    THE ROLE

    • HOURS: On-the-job training will be conducted for this role, the shift is 7:30 am to 4 pm.
    • RUN PRINTING PRESS: Responsible for the overall operation of the printing press including output, quantity, and quality of the product being produced by the press. Experience in conducting/assisting in efficient setups, mounting plates, and loading ink. Familiarity with the technology/software operation that modern presses possess. Monitors the press to ensure it is supplied with ink, varnish, and paper to avoid stoppages. Makes suggestions to improve efficiencies and to ensure press runs at optimum speeds. Monitors activities related to the next job set up while the current job is running. Ensuring supplies are being staged properly to ensure the next job up transitions as seamlessly as possible.
    • ENSURES QUALITY PRINTING: Works with the system to scan raw materials to start jobs and creates a label through the system to mark the skids of semi-finished products produced. Ability to communicate deviations from job specifications with management. Responsible for press cleaning and preventative maintenance related to fluids, chemicals, and dust related to the raw materials used in the printing process. Handles any stressful situations or disputes diplomatically. Makes sure product will be produced in a quality manner which will assist the finishing departments in conducting their process most efficiently.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • KNOWLEDGE: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven dedication in prior roles through longevity and consistent work history. Prior experience required (3 years plus preferred) as a Litho Press Operator, Printing Press Operator, Offset Press Operator, Heidelberg Press Operator, Komori Press Operator, or similar role.
    • SKILLS: Must be able to identify color variation on labels. Perform basic math skills. An eye for detail and ability to operate basic computer systems (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Excellent communication and people skills. Experience working efficiently with minimal supervision
    • ABILITIES: THIS ROLE IS ONSITE IN OMAHA, NE and requires the ability to work at our office at 132nd & L Street. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds. Frequent bending, stooping, twisting of lumbar and squatting. Ability to stand and walk on cement floors with anti-fatigue mats. Frequent reaching below the waist and shoulder level, and wrist motion and gripping. Must be authorized to work in the United States, and able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen, physical assessments, audio, and color vision test.
