    Cambridge International Systems is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Administrator to support our Navy customer onsite at the Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii. Qualified candidates for this job must possess an active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility and must be able to work at this location.

    We at Cambridge International Systems identify IT Network Engineering requirements, enhance and develop IT capabilities, and provide technical solutions in support of the Navy’s mission. The IT Administrator will play an integral role in helping our Navy customer manage a 24x7 Watch Floor to ensure sustainment operations are carried out in accordance with specified objectives through the following roles and responsibilities:

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Configure and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure up-grades
    • Diagnose and correct computer systems problems
    • Manage servers and other computer system aspects of the customer
    • Train users on software applications, mission systems, and telecom systems
    • Maintain IT inventories and updating of schedules as required as well as properly disposing of outdated equipment
    • System administration
    • Document system problems and resolution for future reference
    • Monitor system performance and the ability to implement performance tuning
    • Assist senior system engineers to identify and resolve network security issues
    • Conduct routine project status meetings with Government Project Managers and Cambridge's project team
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables (SOPs, design documents, systems assessments) are satisfactory, clear, and concise, prior to submitting to the Government
    • Work closely with Navy and Cambridge Management to continually improve enterprise processes and promote compliance with industry best practices such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
    • Work closely with Cambridge's Program/Project Manager to identify project challenges and risks while offering alternatives to achieve success
    • Ensure project deadlines are kept and ensure tasks remain within project scope
    • Show initiative and the ability to work independently while keeping Cambridge management informed of shifting priorities and challenges

    Required Skills

    • Must have an active DOD TOP-SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility
    • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security + and OS/VM/Networking Certification) or be obtained within 6 months
    • Proficient in Microsoft products (Office, Server 2016, Windows 10/7, Active Directory, Group Policy, Visio)
    • Proven capability working with complex IT solutions in uncommon environment settings while meeting all DoD policy and customer requirements
    • Strong understanding of underlying hardware supporting VMware platform (DELL and Cisco host preferred)
    • Strong capability in managing system resources, creating monitors to alert on error or impending conditions
    • Strong skills in operation and networking systems (Microsoft Windows, Cisco Systems, Unix, Linux)
    • Strong analytical/problem solving abilities and professional office experience
    • Strong Ability to document processes and architecture with MS Office products
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work and thrive in a diverse (military, civilian, contractor) workforce
    • Be of high aptitude and keen on attention to detail
    • Ability to work on complex problems unaided and within teams
    • Ability to establish confidence and credibility with managers and senior level Navy leaders and the ability to foster open communications within teams
    • Ability to log into network devices via SSH or Console and navigate the system
    • Ability to create and edit documentation of Standard Operating Procedures, User Manuals and Systems

    Required Experience

    • At least six (6) years’ experience as a System Administrator in a Windows environment
    • At least five (5) years’ experience of Server OS (Windows and Linux/Unix)
    • At least five (5) years’ experience with DNS, Group Policy, and Directory technologies
    • VMware experience, to include but not limited to: installation and administration
      • vSphere, Virtual SAN, Horizon View, NSX, vRealize,SRM, experience at an enterprise level
      • VM certificate preferred

    DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

    • BS or higher in Computer Science/Engineering (will consider other combinations of experience, certifications and experience in lieu of degree)
    • Good knowledge of Military Grade Crypto (KGs, Taclanes, Fastlanes, etc.)
    • EKMS Custodian or User
    • Knowledge of DoD and Navy policy in networking and Information Assurance
    • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and accreditation process

    • This is a full-time position
    • Schedule: Willing and able to work, holidays, and weekends as required. Some travel may be required to support the mission.
