Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
· Synthesis: Assist in the synthesis of oligonucleotides using automated synthesisers. Follow established protocols and ensure accuracy in reagent preparation and reaction conditions.
· Purification: Perform purification of oligonucleotides using techniques such as FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography) and HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). Monitor purification processes to achieve high-quality results.
· Analysis: Conduct analytical assays to verify the quality and identity of synthesised oligonucleotides using LC-MS.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results. Ensure all documentation is compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
· Lab Maintenance: Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment. Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
· Collaboration: Work closely with senior chemists and other team members to support ongoing projects. Contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 1-2 years’ experience or Master’s degree with 0-1 years’ experience.
· Skills:
o Basic understanding of organic chemistry and chemical synthesis.
o Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
o Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
o Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and conveying technical information clearly.
o Hands on experience in solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis is a plus.
