POSITION: OPERATIONS AGENT, ENTRY LEVEL

OMNI LOGISTICS ORD IS A THIRD-PARTY LOGISTICS PROVIDER (3PL), ALSO KNOWN AS A FREIGHT FORWARDER.
Our customers come to Omni to handle all things transportation so they can concentrate on their business objectives. We handle everything from warehousing to white-glove specialized deliveries. Customers count on Omni to solve their supply chain bottlenecks and create unique solutions to their transportation needs.
An Omni Operations Agent will manage transportation for a handful of Omni’s key accounts – providing the customer with unmatched service from the initial quote to the delivery. Omni is all about the customer experience, so we have a dedicated operations agent assigned to manage each customer, creating a mutually beneficial relationship. Daily Tasks include quoting customers, pulling inventory, booking shipments with our trusted vendors, tracking and tracing, and invoicing. The operations agent has the freedom to dynamically route in order to maximize margins on each shipment handled. We work in a team atmosphere, so all operators are cross trained on customer accounts throughout their POD. The sales team, warehouse staff, and operators work together to meet our customer’s everchanging and evolving needs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Requirements include but not limited to:
· 4-year degree in business or related field
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of company, customer and vendor organizations
· Provide and process rate quotes and service orders for shipments while maintaining customer satisfaction
· Daily contact with vendors to obtain pricing, tracking and bookings
· Daily monitoring of shipment status
· Invoice shipments
· Compiling reports and providing support to other staff members
· Resolve customer issues by investigating transactions, developing solutions and making recommendations to management
· Work in conjunction with sales and management to establish, implement and maintain client specific Standard Operation Procedures
· Ensure compliance with Transportation Security Administration and local/federal governmental regulations
· Ensure compliance with corporate and station management policies
· Minimal warehouse duties
· Basic to advanced computer skills
