On-Field Quality Control Specialist
About the On-Field Trainer / Quality Control Specialist Position This is an amazing opportunity to obtain a leadership position with a super fun, fast-paced, high growth youth sports company that is having a positive impact on our community.
Responsibilities: Quality Control
Floating among venues to assess the quality of the venue, staff & programs. Providing staff with feedback & on-site training to ensure programs meet all i9 Sports standards & expectations. Helping out when & wherever needed. Engaging parents to assess the quality of the program.
Training Visit different sites as needed to train new and existing staff to meet or exceed standards. Training Site Managers and Sport Instructors in the following areas:
Set-up of venues
Assisting parent coaches
Proper Reffing
Rules Knowledge
Effective Whistle Blowing
Controlling a game/venue
Increasing positive energy at the venue
Dealing with unsportsmanlike parents or coaches
Game Day Management
Coach teams with no parent coach
Demonstrating skill progression during the season
When to use a “coachable moments” & how to do so without disrupting the flow of the game
Staff Assessment
Help identify staff that could become leaders, staff that are satisfactory and staff that are not a good fit for the program.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of experience playing two or more of the following sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, Soccer, Flag Football)
Minimum of two years of coaching experience in one of the following sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, Soccer, Flag Football) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Reports to: Athletic Director, i9 Sports Loudoun County/Fairfax County
Compensation per hour: $25/hour + reimbursement for mileage between venues.
Schedule: In Season: Approx. 8-10 hours on Saturdays and/or Sundays
Seasons: Fall Sept 7th-Oct 27th / Late Fall Nov 16th-Dec 15th / Winter Jan 4th-Mar 2nd / Spring Apr 5th-June 1st
Will include participation in additional training dates (2-3 per season) during the week in preparation of the upcoming season.
Flexibility to schedule time off weeks in advance of the impacted season.
