    Onsite Desktop Technician

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide on-site technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalate problems when necessary, and ensure timely resolution.
    • Set up and configure new desktops/laptops and deploy software updates as needed.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, virus protection, and data backups.
    • Assist users with technical support, training, and guidance on IT-related matters.
    • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets and ensure proper documentation.
    • Collaborate with IT team members to optimize IT infrastructure and enhance system performance.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a desktop support technician or similar role.
    • Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
    • Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and networks.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

    Desired Experience:

    • Certifications in IT support or related field (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician).
    • Experience with Active Directory, email systems, and remote desktop support tools.
    • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
    • Knowledge of IT security protocols and data protection measures.
