There are 4.25 (baby coming....) of us working in the office currently (actually 5.25 if you count Saphera, our mascot dog), and there is one crazy lady working remotely. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we have an extremely important job to do and we have to dig in and.....don't make me say the "F" word - FOCUS - A LOT, but we also have fun. We are passionate about our weekly team motivations, monthly 1 to 1 check-ins with the boss (where she shuts up and we get to share our ideas, what we love and well, what we don't love), and quarterly team events. Also, we can't forget to mention the perk of all the absolutely unhealthy, but delicious office snacks!

Our clients are local small businesses of all kinds and industries. They are some of the most successful, driven, fun, and yes needy and sometimes (most of the time) whiny clients in the world! We LOVE them and they love us back. They desperately seek our help and guidance and rely on us heavily for all of their accounting, cash flow and sometimes (most of the time) non-accounting needs. When we do an amazing job, they reward us handsomely with gifts such as referrals, libations, flowers, and food.

On a daily basis you will be communicating with clients in person, via phone, zoom, email, and some more email, and even more email (get the point?). We already have many systems and processes in place to help them most efficiently. Don't worry, all it takes is a quick yell down the hallway to one of us and we will yell back the answer to you. You may occasionally hear a cuss word or two as well (sorry, not sorry).

If this is a job that gets you so excited that you would even do it for free, we would totally accept that offer. However, if you prefer compensation (and we do too), this is

what we offer: This is a full time job. We hope we can find someone to put up with us for a very long time. The pay is $16-$23 an hour depending on the skill level and personality you can bring to the team. We have flexibility on the schedule, but ideally would be Monday-Friday 8a-4p. If you have other daily or weekly obligations, we can very likely work around it. Families have "stuff", right? We have paid time off, holidays, and simple IRA available. We continually try to get health insurance too, but you know.......Obamacare. We never give up though! It's a thing!

Now, a little bit about what we need from you:

1.Accounting knowledge is very helpful in this position as you will be handling the daily accounting for several businesses. This would include data entry of receipts, entering and paying bills (ON TIME would be amazing), posting deposits, some payroll (we find that everyone kind of likes to get paid correctly and timely), and bank and credit card reconciliations until your eye balls hurt. Don't worry, we can teach you most of this, but some skills would be amazing. We use Quickbooks, MS Office, Adobe, Loom, and 1password mostly. Google drive programs make some of us squirm so maybe you can help.

2. We need you to be an individual who is very personable and loves listening and accomplishing what the client requests. Bubbly personalities welcome. Loud mouths need not apply.

3.We need you to be detail oriented and a person that follows systems and processes. In fact, just to prove that you are detail oriented and can follow procedures, when you apply for this position, in the subject line of the email sent directly to me you MUST include "I can rock this job with numbers 8675309 at ODA" in the subject line. Yep, that's our little trick to sort out the people who blanket send their resume to anyone and everyone, from the rock star (that's you) who is truly interested in this position.

4. You have to be thirsty to better yourself and the company. We participate in quarterly trainings and seminars and maybe occasionally a book. We strategize and work to streamline workflow and reach our personal and company visions. If you do not love change and growth, you will not love us.
