Operations Accountant

Our Fintech client is hiring an Operations Accountant for their growing team. This role will support global accounting operations, maintain the integrity of financial records, and assist with month-end close processes. In this role, you will oversee general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and various aspects of operational accounting. You will also help manage outsourced accounting relationships and contribute to process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and post related activity to the general ledger.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Assist with global payroll processes.
• Support intercompany transactions and equity movements across legal entities.
• Work with third-party accounting providers to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, tax filings, and audit schedules.
• Develop and document accounting procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Handle ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or working towards certification preferred.
• 2+ years of operational accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with NetSuite or other accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Adaptability to change and a proactive approach to process improvement.
