    About the Operations Clerk position

    The Operations Clerk is responsible for performing various administrative tasks to support the logistics department, including data entry, recordkeeping, inventory management, and assisting with logistics scheduling and other programs to meet the company expectations and goals.

    Operations Clerk responsibilities are:

    • Report for assigned shift in a timely manner, in appropriate attire.
    • Adherence to Garner Foods policies, FDA, GMP, SQF, HACCP and other applicable regulations.
    • Validate product information is correct, and check/report any defects.
    • Use computer system to enter information, print paperwork, access, generate and complete orders, read and understand customer specifications.
    • Assist in the preparation and processing of production orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Maintain production records and databases, including entering data and updating information
    • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, and coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure adequate supply.
    • Generate reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics as requested.
    • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the production area, including inventory storage, cycle counting and workspace organization.
    • Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
    • Perform general clerical duties, such as responding to emails, and filing paperwork.
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Operations Clerk requirements are:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics or production environment.
    • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite and data entry software.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems and how to navigate.
    • Strong mathematical, reading, problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Working knowledge of GMP, FDA, SQF, HACCP regulations and requirement, preferred.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of production processes and inventory management principles is a plus.
    • Ability to work in wet non-climate-controlled environment.
    • Strong commitment to safety, customers, quality, and productivity is required.
    • Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, if necessary.
    • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
