Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Director to oversee the daily operations of multiple healthcare sites, including two primary care delivery sites, a women’s health site, a dental site, and a behavioral health site. The Operations Director will ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery across these locations by managing staff, resources, and workflows while maintaining compliance with regulations and organizational goals. The role requires strategic oversight, operational expertise, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of two primary care delivery sites, one women’s health site, one dental site, and one behavioral health site.
Ensure seamless, high-quality patient care access by optimizing workflows, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to improve service integration and overall patient experience.
Implement and monitor performance metrics, including patient volume, wait times, and overall patient experience.
Address patient concerns with diplomacy and professionalism.
Leadership and Supervision:
Supervise Patient Experience (PX) Team Leads and administrative staff across all locations, providing support, guidance, and performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Develop training programs and professional development opportunities for Patient Experience staff.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Collaborate with the Quality/Compliance team to implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
Support accreditation processes and readiness for operational site visits (OSV).
Budget and Resource Management:
Manage operational budgets, including staffing, equipment, and facility maintenance costs.
Collaborate with the finance department to ensure financial sustainability across all locations, focusing on cost-effective service delivery.
Monitor and approve procurement of supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Strategic Planning and Development:
Assist in the development and implementation of long-term operational strategies for growth and improved service delivery.
Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives such as expansion of services, facility improvements, and workforce development.
Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving patient experience, access to care, and health outcomes.
Facilities and Maintenance Oversight:
Ensure that all facilities are well-maintained and compliant with safety and accessibility standards.
Work closely with facilities management to address maintenance needs, emergency preparedness, and space optimization
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably in an FQHC or community health setting.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in financial management and budget oversight.
Ability to manage multiple sites and balance competing priorities.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively across multiple locations.
May require occasional travel between sites.
