    Operations Dispatch/Router

    ACS Logistics Holdings, LLC Dba Allegro Home Delivery is a fast-growing company beginning to disrupt the last mile home delivery market. We are currently looking for a motivated and energetic person with route, contract, and agent management knowledge to join our team. We are seeking a Routing and Dispatcher Specialist to manage daily route planning and coordinating orders generated by our customers to be distributed to consignee homes.

    Primary Role: Optimize cost and efficiency across the country while providing exemplary customer service to external and internal customers. You will accomplish this by designing effective routing that uses the optimal partner for the required service in the specified market. You will multi-task while adhering to extremely time sensitive deadlines, which requires high attention to detail and the ability to focus intensely for extended periods.

    Responsibilities:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Efficiently dispatch pickups to local freight companies, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of goods.
    • Strategically coordinate daily routes, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
    • Monitor, analyze, and adapt to dynamic logistical challenges, leveraging transportation and logistics knowledge to provide effective solutions.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date manifests, shipping documents, and records to ensure compliance and operational transparency.
    • Build and nurture cross-functional relationships with internal teams, warehouse staff, and freight partners to align on priorities and achieve common goals.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues, and foster trust.
    • Act as a liaison between the company and freight providers, demonstrating strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite for dispatching, tracking, and reporting.
    • Generate and analyze performance reports to identify areas for improvement and support continuous operational enhancements.
    • Ensure accurate data entry and documentation to maintain workflow efficiency and compliance with regulations.
    • Lead initiatives aimed at refining routing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing service delivery.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to contribute innovative solutions.
    • Drive self and team improvement by identifying training needs and fostering a results-oriented culture.
    • Proactively address and resolve scheduling conflicts, shipment delays, or other operational challenges with a customer-focused approach.
    • Provide exceptional service by promptly responding to inquiries and managing expectations.
    • Work collaboratively to resolve issues while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
    • High school diploma (required); additional education in logistics or a related field is a plus.
    • Proven experience in route planning, freight forwarding, or a similar logistics role.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Fundamental understanding of transportation and logistics concepts.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to develop and sustain cross-functional relationships in a team environment.
    • Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills with a drive for continuous improvement.

    * Fundamental understanding of transportation, logistics, and freight forwarding concepts and practices. 
    * Experience in route planning and freight forwarding, with a track record of operational success. 
    * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) or related software. 
    * Strong aptitude for learning and utilizing new technology to enhance operational efficiency. 
    * High school diploma or equivalent (required); post-secondary education in logistics, transportation, or related fields is a plus. 
    * Minimum of 3 years proven experience in route planning or freight forwarding roles.
