    Job Description

    We are seeking a strategic Operations Finance Controller to play a key role in driving financial planning, analysis, and decision-making across our operations organization. This role focuses on ensuring d ata quality, transparency, and collaboration across multiple branches while overseeing Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and operational controlling activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, supply chain management, and operations, with expertise in analyzing costs, supporting demand planning, and driving financial efficiency.

    Reporting to the Director of Business Controlling and with a dotted line to the Operations Director, this role will support Region Management Teams and collaborate closely with Regional Controllers, Branch Managers, Regional Operations Managers, HR Business Partners, and Finance Support Teams across Doka USA and the Doka Global organization. This is an exciting, hybrid opportunity based out of Doka USA's National Support Office in Kenilworth, NJ to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, international environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic & Tactical Financial Support: Manage financial support for operations and regional management.
    • Business Review: Prepare and present comprehensive business reviews for National & Regional Operations, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
    • Sales Forecast & Inventory Planning: Establish oversight on the connection between sales forecasts and supply inventory planning for the annual budget and quarterly demand plan forecast, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
    • Inventory Analysis: Analyze total inventory and provide actionable insights to optimize inventory management.
    • Operational Cost Management: Drive cost ownership on operational overhead, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
    • Service Margin Recovery Initiatives: Lead initiatives related to service margin recovery, engineering resource management, and yard productivity.
    • Business Case Development: Drive and support the development of business cases and investment proposals for Doka US and the US regions.
    • Data Quality & Transparency: Improve data quality and transparency across financial reporting and analysis.
    • Automation Opportunities: Explore opportunities for automation in key views using Business Intelligence tools for efficient management reporting.

    Other Responsibilities/Peripheral Functions

    • Travel as required, approx. 10-20% (domestic & international)
    • Other duties/projects as assigned; including participating in company committees/teams.
    • Assists in ensuring safe working practices and a safe working environment
    • Complies with all corporate policies and business practices.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proven working experience as a Finance Business Partner / Commercial / Operations Controller /Country Controller / in a multi country / location environment
    • 5+ years accounting and finance experience, commercial production / construction / formwork / rental industry experience can be considered a plus
    • Advanced degree in Finance / Controlling / Management / preferred
    • Good knowledge of accounting principles /procedures and business (finance) processes. Work experience with SAP (FI/CO) is a definite plus
    • Experience with building financial management systems / procedures
    • Proficiency with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
    • Excellent communication skills, including excellent command of English required (speaking, reading, writing)
    • Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills
    • Able to work independently in a result-driven, fast paced, environment
    • Proactive and strong hands-on mentality
    • High commitment, resilience and temporal flexibility
    • Open-minded to process changes

    Additional Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience in international environments, multinational groups, matrix environments
    • Experience in project management and change management
    • CPA, and/or Public Accounting / Consulting / banking experience
