Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Installation Manager to lead and enhance our installation processes and daily operations. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader capable of managing a team of installers, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding our high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of the installation process, from initial measurements and material procurement to final quality assurance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of installation professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Provide regular training, guidance, and performance feedback, empowering them to exceed customer expectations and deliver quality work.
Oversee and mentor installers to ensure optimal performance across all installation teams and achieve top-tier service levels.
Hold the team accountable to company standards.
Operational Management & Efficiency:
Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
Oversee the installation crew, separating paperwork and creating efficient daily installation routes.
Optimize installer schedules, labor quotas, and task distribution to balance workloads effectively and manage fluctuations in demand.
Measure, order, and coordinate ductwork for installations.
Quality Assurance & Control:
Ensure all installations meet company standards and client expectations, conducting regular quality checks.
Perform on-site quality control checks, offering real-time coaching and feedback during installations to ensure consistent excellence across projects.
Verify sales measurements for accuracy and make modifications as necessary.
Perform retail site inspections, communicating with sales personnel to adjust and confirm orders.
Client Relations & Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding installation schedules, progress updates, and issue resolution.
Take proactive steps to reduce escalations related to installation issues, ensuring customer satisfaction is always prioritized.
Inventory & Resource Management:
Oversee the management of materials and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and optimal stock levels.
Strategically monitor and adjust installer capacity to meet fluctuating customer demand, especially during peak periods.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Technical Support & Problem Solving:
Field calls from installers regarding installation procedures, technical questions, and on-site issues.
When call-outs occur, reroute installers or join the crew to complete the day’s installs.
Proactively find solutions to problems.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and present regular reports on installation performance, operational metrics, and team performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in managing installation teams within the hearth or construction industry.
Strong understanding of operational management principles and best practices.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background and pre-employment screening.
5 years Hearth installation or relevant industry experience required.
