The Operations Manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of the company’s program operations. Program operations encompass HR duties for all staff, equipment, inventory, and program curriculum. We are looking for an Operations Manager that is self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, a reliable team player, and a highly organized individual that works well in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects are essential to this position.

Job Summary
The Operations Manager at Mad Science is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day business operations of the franchise, as well as executing necessary functions and tasks within the business. The role requires someone with a positive take-charge attitude, who is comfortable working both in a team environment as well as autonomously. This is an individual who has demonstrated capabilities within the basic business tasks, but who is also eager to take on more and go above and beyond in the interest of ensuring the success of the business. We offer a base rate plus a bonus plan based on sales growth (which is unlimited in this office!)
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of company program operations
Devise and manage program rotation for all areas of business
Manage, organize & update relevant data using database applications
Ensure there is adequate staff and equipment to run all programs
Supervise and manage all operation and entertainment staff members
Supervise Instructors including job assignments, performance reviews
Train program instructors in conjunction with Senior Instructor
Plan, organize, and conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings for instructors
Participate in budget development and quarterly reviews
Qualifications
Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks at the same time
Ability to adapt to changes in priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with MS Office software, and knowledge of database applications
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public
Able to follow oral and written instructions
Self-starter with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
Attention to detail and accuracy
Possess strong customer service skills
Dependable and reliable
Our programs happen 7 days a week, you must occasionally be available on weekends for a few hours
You will act as a back up instructor as needed, you must be comfortable presenting our programs to groups of kids.
