    Butterfly Staffing is seeking an operations manager for our manufacturing client in the Eastern regions of Texas, and Virginia. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all assembly and warehouse operations. This role holds overall responsibility for production, warehousing, and other associated activities to meet both immediate and long-term company goals.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and direct all production operations to achieve both short-term and long-term organizational goals.
    • Coordinate production efforts through collaboration with department heads and the corporate team to ensure manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Drive transformation and continuous improvement within the manufacturing process through the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.
    • Develop and oversee the annual budget, establish targets for the location, and ensure cost-effective management of resources.
    • Implement and maintain efficient control systems for capital assets, operational expenses, manpower, wages, and salaries.
    • Oversee the maintenance of capital assets and manage production timelines, staffing needs, and cost analysis to inform management decisions.
    • Set and monitor production and quality performance standards, ensuring that key metrics like lead times, on-time delivery, and quality goals are consistently achieved.
    • Provide leadership and training to teams to ensure company goals and objectives are met.
    • Implement and manage preventive maintenance and safety programs.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering, or relevant experience in the field.
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Strong understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and OSHA safety regulations.
    • Proven managerial expertise in overseeing technology, asset management, personnel, budgeting, and strategic planning.
    • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
    • Preferred experience with AS 400 or equivalent ERP systems.
    • Additional skills as relevant to the role.

     

    Physical and Environmental Requirements:
    This position operates in an industrial environment where physical activity, including standing, lifting, and moving, is required. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, electrical hazards, and loud noise levels are part of the work environment. Safety-sensitive duties may also include the need to manage exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals.

    $100,000-$128,000 per year
