We are seeking an Operations Manager to become an integral part of our team! You will coordinate and oversee the organization's daily operations.
Purpose and Description:
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all field (Install & Maintenance) and retail (rock yard) employees and operations. Coordinates the procurement and scheduled use of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines, and quality standards. Promotes growth and development of field and sales staff and assists them with carrying out their responsibilities as needed. Coordinates use of resources within all divisions and lends support to operational activities for the entire company.
Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Manage and schedule labor, equipment, and materials to accomplish production schedules within established budgets; maintain strict adherence to established schedules and budgets
Provide most recent plans and/or documents to field crews at the beginning of the day and provide instruction to ensure the Crew Leader and crew are prepared to complete job(s)
Work directly with Operations Specialist to ensure all jobs are scheduled and materials are ordered for scheduled jobs
Visit job sites on a regular basis, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to ensure quality work is produced
Manage and improve operational practices
Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines
Track and forecast operational trends and analysis to report to Business Systems Manager and President for financial planning
Provide daily operations oversight for outside teams
Formalize policies and procedures in accordance to HR regulations including safety training, uniform policy, attendance, and performance reviews
Qualifications:
5-10 years experience in landscape & hardscape installations
Bachelor's Degree and/or previous experience in operations or other related fields
Strong project management skills
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong leadership qualities
Mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office & CRM software)
