Job Title: Operations Manager
Why Shine of Tysons?
Are you an operations leader who thrives on leading from the front lines, empowering teams, and driving day-to-day operational excellence? At Shine of Tysons, we’re on a mission to become Northern Virginia’s premier provider of window cleaning, pressure washing, soft washing, gutter cleaning, and lighting services. Behind every successful service visit is a highly trained team, an optimized fleet, and seamless systems—and you’ll be at the heart of making it all happen.
As the Operations Manager, you’ll lead from the front lines—overseeing day-to-day field operations, building and training high-performing crews, managing fleet readiness, and refining systems to maximize efficiency and profitability. This role demands a leader who thrives in the action, solves problems in real-time, builds strong relationships with clients, and empowers teams to deliver exceptional service with excellence and consistency. If you're someone who combines hands-on leadership with a passion for operational excellence, this is your opportunity to shine.
What You’ll Do
As the Operations Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of field operations, technician success, and fleet readiness.
Build and Lead Crews: Oversee the training, development, and day-to-day performance of our Crew Leads and Technicians to ensure they operate efficiently and deliver outstanding results.
Fleet Management: Oversee branding, equipping, deployment, and maintenance of service vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are ready for daily operations.
Technician Training Program: Implement ongoing training and certification programs to maintain a high-performing, safety-first team.
Scheduling and Route Optimization: Develop and manage weekly route schedules to maximize efficiency, minimize travel time, and ensure profitability.
Operational Systems: Implement and monitor CRM tools (e.g., BPro) and scheduling systems to streamline technician workflows and reporting.
Performance Monitoring: Track daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs (e.g., route efficiency, revenue per truck, job completion rates) and provide actionable feedback to the General Manager.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with the General Manager, Sales Team, and Office Manager to align operational goals with company objectives.
Weekly Team Meetings: Conduct weekly technician performance reviews and operational check-ins to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all field operations adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Master Crew Leader Responsibilities
At Shine of Tysons, the Operations Manager isn’t just a systems thinker and team builder—they are the Master Crew Leader, the field operations expert who knows every process, every tool, and every customer interaction inside and out. You’ll be the gold standard for Crew Leaders and Technicians, setting an example not just through management, but through action.
Lead from the Front: Step in when the moment calls—whether it's a critical job, an important client visit, or a complex service setup. Show your team how it’s done with precision, speed, and excellence.
Set the Standard: Be the embodiment of operational excellence in every aspect—from how you greet clients to how you execute service delivery. Your smile, professionalism, and problem-solving mindset will be the benchmark for the entire field team.
Hands-On Expertise: Know every piece of equipment, every cleaning technique, and every route optimization trick. You’re not afraid to get dirty, climb ladders, or lift heavy gear if it means getting the job done right.
Field Ambassador: Build client relationships on-site. Show clients why Shine stands apart—not just through quality work, but through your personal engagement and charm.
Mentor & Inspire: Train Crew Leaders and Technicians to emulate your approach—your commitment to excellence, your can-do attitude, and your customer-first mindset.
Problem Solver Extraordinaire: When challenges arise, you're the first on-site, the calm in the storm, and the expert who delivers creative, effective solutions.
What Success Looks Like
In your first year, you’ll be expected to:
Build and maintain up to 9 fully trained crews (9 Crew Leads, 9 Technicians) operating efficiently and consistently.

Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for technician workflows, fleet management, and operational systems.
