    Background: LDR is a private equity firm focused on investing in micro-cap industrial manufacturing businesses. Our ideal investments have $2-7mm of EBITDA and are market leaders, providing mission-critical, customized B2B industrial products. LDR maintains its headquarters in Houston, TX, where this position will be based, with an expectation of a hybrid remote/office presence. Our focus on market-leading micro-cap industrial manufacturing businesses requires an Operations Manager who can manage and optimize processes essential to supporting these investments at the management company and fund levels.

    Position Description: As the Operations Manager at LDR, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our daily operations. As a key member of our small team, you will oversee a wide range of administrative functions and take the lead in several operational areas at both the management company and fund levels. In this role, you will collaborate closely with LDR’s senior management, external vendors, and partners across key business functions such as strategic planning, finance, human resources, and stakeholder engagement. Reporting directly to LDR’s Managing Partner, you will work closely with senior leadership to drive the implementation and oversight of systems, processes, and initiatives that optimize our firm’s operations.     Major Responsibilities:

    Operational Management

    Oversee administration of management company and fund operations, partnering with senior management and external parties to ensure the success of our core operations

    Implement and manage firm-wide processes and workflows to increase productivity and teaming efficiency

    Engagement and general oversight of vendor partners

    Finance & Budgeting:

    Support financial operations, collaborating with the external accounting leads and fund administration teams

    Periodic AR/AP reconciliation related to expenses

    Assist with annual strategic and financial planning documentation

    Ensure timely reconciliation of AR/AP and manage intercompany payments

    Assist with entity level corporate filings as needed

    Legal & Compliance

    Ensure the firm adheres to regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to private equity fund management

    Coordinate with legal counsel to manage contracts, confidentiality agreements, and other legal documents, particularly when processing transactions

    Maintain proper record-keeping and document management for team awareness, compliance, and audit purposes

    Human Resources

    Lead the HR function, including onboarding new employees and assisting with employee benefits

    Assist in onboarding new employees to Fund platform

    Assist with 401k Benefits

    Work directly with JustWorks, the management company’s PEO system, for efficient management of employee functions and benefits

    Establish formal talent management processes, including performance reviews and professional development program

    Lead firm intern programs periodically

    Executive Support

    Coordinate investment committee meetings, board meetings, investor meetings, and other key events led by senior management

    Lead scheduling and managing various meetings and events throughout the year (for both internal and external stakeholders)

    Provide limited direct administrative support to senior management, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and meeting preparation

    Skills / Characteristics:

    Proactive problem-solving and strong organizational skills

    Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)

    Ability to comfortably interact with senior management (internal & external)

    Ability to work effectively both independently and with internal teams, executives, investors, and external partners

    Comfortable working with budgets, financial reports, and understanding private equity-related finance matters

    Basic familiarity with regulations governing private equity, employment law, and contract management

    Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

    Requirements: Successful candidates will have the following attributes:

    Extensive experience in an operational or administrative role, with prior experience in private equity strongly preferred

    Strong academic credentials and achievement

    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a strong command of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

    Experience collaborating with senior leadership across a wide array of tasks

    Experience managing external vendor partners

    Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
